Jay R. McLemore

Jay R. McLemore founded McLemore Law, PLLC. He has over twenty years of litigation experience, concentrating in the areas of coverage evaluation, defense of personal injury claims, premises liability claims, mechanics and materialmen’s liens and workers’ compensation defense. He holds first chair trial experience in jury and bench trials in both state and federal court. Enjoying legal advocacy, he has also completed the National Institute of Trial Advocacy course in Boulder, Colorado.


A native of Macon, Georgia, Jay graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1993 with a B.S. in Civil/Environmental engineering. He received his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1996. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. He is also admitted to practice in all Federal Courts in Tennessee and Mississippi, as well as the Northern District of Georgia and the Middle District of Alabama. He is a registered attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.


Jay resides in Franklin with his wife, Sue, and their three children. He and his family attend Christ Community Church. In his free time he enjoys cooking, flying, hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking.

David Watkins
David Watkins joined McLemore Law on January 4, 2016.  Mr. Watkins grew up in Memphis, Tennessee.  He graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2007 with a B.A. in psychology.  In 2011, he graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

In law school, he was member of the National Moot Court Team that placed 2nd nationally in 2011.  He is the recipient of the Susan B. Devitt Award for Outstanding Written and Oral Advocacy and was elected to the Order of the Barristers in 2011.  He was also an editor for the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy.  Currently, Mr. Watkins is a member of Tennessee Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in Tennessee.  Formerly with London Amburn, Mr. Watkins has focused his practice primarily on litigation, medical malpractice, and insurance defense law.   


Recently relocated to Nashville, Mr. Watkins lives with his wife, Paige, with whom he enjoys traveling and movies.  Mr. Watkins is also an ardent basketball fan. 

Gina L. Scheck - Paralegal

A native Tennessean, Gina grew up in Cheatham County and attended Middle Tennessee State University. She then spent twenty years out west in Wyoming and Colorado where she worked for local and international law firms. For seven years, Gina also served as a Judicial Assistant to State District Court Judge David B. Park of the Seventh Judicial District for the State of Wyoming. Gina furthered her education in paralegal studies at the ABA accredited Casper College in Casper, Wyoming.


She lives in Lewisburg, Tennessee with her husband, Randall, and their daughter. They attend Farmington Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. In her spare time, Gina enjoys riding and training Quarter Horses. She and her family enjoy traveling and competing in rodeo events.
